National Certificate in Agribusiness Management

This 70 credit programme includes a mix of theory and practical learning.
The qualification recognises the skills and knowledge required to develop and monitor business and financial plans, manage risk, management of capital, implement taxation requirements, obtain finance to establish, extend, or diversify an agricultural business and analyse performance and investment opportunities for an agribusiness.
On successful completion of this programme graduates will gain the National Certificate in Agribusiness Management (Business Planning and Financial Management).
Career Opportunities
Graduates will have the ability to be immediately productive in the workplace both under supervision and on their own using processes that require a wide range of technical or scholastic skills applied in selfdirected and sometimes directed activity.

Entry Requirements
- Applicants must be over 16 years of age.
- Applicants for whom English is a second language must meet IELTS (or equivalent) Level of 5.5.
- It is preferable that the candidate is physically fit to enable them to successfully
complete the tasks required in the programme. Learners without NCEA are encouraged to apply.
Special Entry may be granted where evidence exists that the applicant can successfully complete the programme. Please contact the Polytechnic for details.
